If you’re on the lookout for Portuguese food and unique and delectable grilled dishes, then you have to find the Cozinha Pinocchio in Macau. Located at Rua do Regedor, Taipa Island, it’s just a short walk away from the Macao Jockey Club and is easily accessible by bus or ferry. It is also just five minutes away from the Macau International Airport. So after a nice visit to the races and a walk around the village, you can go to Cozinha Pinocchio for a gastronomical fare.
It can get pretty crowded at the place as tourists and locals alike can’t get enough of the staple dishes that made Cozinha Pinocchio famous in Macau, and even the whole of China. As expected, the restaurant has the Curry Crab, a classic dish in every Portuguese and Macanese restaurant in Macau. Among the grilled selections, it’s recommended that you try the grilled fresh sardines, grilled spare ribs, and the roast quail and veal. Add to your seafood delights the boiled codfish and the back opened hot prawns. For dessert, you have the choice between mango and egg pudding. Snack selection also offers grilled and hot sardines, aside from the choices of Portuguese ham and sausages. The restaurant has an extensive wine collection to let you easily down all that scrumptious food.
The Cozinha Pinocchio has been around since 1977. It was established by D.M. Pina, and it is said that it was his unique method of roasting and great sense of taste that separate Cozinha Pinocchio from the other Portuguese restaurants in Macau. And though quite ahead in years, the restaurant has no signs of slowing down as each day, the Cozinha Pinocchio is gaining more and more customers who are impressed with the great food offered by the restaurant.
