If looking for the most famous and tastiest restaurants in Hong Kong, then one should not fail to mention the Yung Kee restaurant.  This restaurant has been offering delectable Chinese cuisine since 1942.  The restaurant has gained fame throughout Hong Kong and even the world through its signature dish, the Roast Duck.  It was even called the Roast “Jet” Duck, or the Flying Roast Duck as it was so tasty that people would order them and fly home with these ducks.  That’s how Yung Kee started to soar as well and became popular all over Hong Kong.

Aside from the great food, Yung Kee is also equated with quality service.  This is shown by the many awards and recognitions that the restaurant has garnered over the years.  Perhaps one of the biggest ones is the awarding of a Michelin star to the restaurant.  If you’re not in the know, being given a Michelin star means you’re food is one of the best, not just in Hong Kong, but also in the whole world.  That’s how big of a deal a Michelin star is.  Just so you know, there are only a handful of restaurants that were awarded a Michelin star, with the almost 11,000 restaurants in Hong Kong.  So if you’re looking for an independent confirmation of taste, then Yung Kee has passed the test.

To get the full experience of what Yung Kee can offer, you are recommended to try their VIP Room.  Though it will cost you, it is a price that’s worth paying for.  You’d forget the extra 10% charge after you’ve been to the place.  You are assured of stylish decors, ambiance ,and service.  Of course, the great food is another factor.  Make yourself full with the wide range of Cantonese selections in the menu.
